Litter along highways and hedgerows harms native British wildlife, pollutes soil, and spoils rural landscapes. We unite local volunteers and councils to restore pride in our shared countryside.

Founded by passionate local residents in the United Kingdom, Highways and Hedgerows CIC works alongside volunteers, environmental groups, and local authorities. Together, we tackle roadside waste, care for ancient hedgerows, and foster civic pride. We believe every British countryside path and road deserves to be clean, safe, and flourishing for future generations.

ABOUT US

Joining a Highways and Hedgerows clean-up transformed how our village views public spaces. Watching our local verges cleared of plastic waste was incredibly rewarding. It is inspiring to see volunteers of all ages coming together across the British countryside.
